The Twenty-seventh Miracle of Messiah:

Mattai 15:21-28

Yeshua went out from there and departed to the areas of Tzor (Tyre) and Tzidon (Sidon). A Kena’ani (Canaanite) woman was coming out from those regions, and she cried out to him, saying, “Have mercy on me, Adoni, ben David (my Master, son of David), because my daughter is terribly afflicted by a demon!” But Yeshua did not answer her with a single word. His talmidin approached him and requested of him, saying, “Send her away, because she is crying out after us!” He answered and said, “I was sent only to the lost sheep, who are of the house of Yisra’el.” But she came and bowed to him and said, “My Master, help me!” He answered and said, “It is not good to take the bread of the children (of Yisra’el) and to cast it before the little dogs” (the gentiles). She said, “Yes, my Master. However, even the little dogs eat from the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.” Yeshua (the Salvation of Adonai) answered and said to her, “Woman, great is your faith! Let it be for you according to your desire.” And her daughter was healed that hour.

Markos 7:24-30

He rose up from there and went to the regions of Tzor (Tyre) and Tzidon (Sidon), and when he came to the house, he did not want it to be known to anyone. But he was not able to be hidden, because a woman whose little daughter a spirit of impurity had entered had heard the news of him, and she came and fell at his feet. Now the woman was Greek, and her native land was Penikya of Surya (Συροφοίνισσα-a native of Phœnicia in Syria). She requested of him to drive out (expel) the demon from her daughter. Yeshua said to her, “Let the children (of Israel) be satisfied first, since it is not good to take the bread of the children and throw it to the little dogs (to the gentiles),” She answered and said to him (the Messiah of Israel), “Yes, Master, but even the little dogs eat under the table from the crumbs of the children’s bread.” He said to her, “On account of this statement of yours, go! The demon has left your daughter.” She returned home and found the girl lying on the bed, and the demon had come out from her.

Opening-up questions and clues:

The following opening-up questions and clues are provided as an introduction to this study on the 27th Miracle of Messiah:

1. Read all of Markos chapter seven.

2. What does the Messiah say is clean and unclean?

3. How is Rabbi Yeshua’s teaching different from the teaching of the other rabbis of his day? Why is Rabbeinu Yeshua and his disciples not obeying the rigid rules of the Prushim elders?

4. “Listen to me, all of you, and understand: there is nothing outside the person which can defile him if it goes into him; but the things which come out of the person are what defile the person.”

5. Hint: It is the will of God that we be changed through His Spirit supernaturally from the Inside-out; not from the Outside-in through our own imperfect. superficial, self-efforts.

6. What does the Messiah say is the difference between God’s laws and man’s rules? How did the rabbis replace God’s commands with their rules?

7. Note: The first century rabbis (Tannaim) replaced the supernatural rule of Messiah and the writings of the prophets with their own human reasoning (teaching); what Messiah rightfully called the vain imaginings and empty “traditions of men.”

8. What is real defilement? How do these insights relate to today’s miracle of the “Healing of [a] Demon-possessed girl?”

What is an Unclean Spirit?

The terms unclean spirits, impure spirits (akathartos Greek) and demons () are interchangeable. In the Brit HaChadashah (the New Covenant) the term unclean spirits is used over twenty times. In these passages we discover unclean spirits can inflict sickness and harm on people and even possess them. It is further revealed that some demons are more evil than others and that these wicked spirits can and do work in unison together.

The good news is that all of these evil and harmful spirits exist under God’s authority and are subject to Him. The evil spirits delight in being wicked, doing evil, and promoting their wickedness in the human race. Their corrupt nature and evil practices are an offense to the pure (righteous) nature of God and His good works. So these unclean spirits are destined to spend an eternity in hell.
