Messiah in Purim Chapter 18

  1. Live in the Promises of Abba Avinu
  2. Put your trust in the Mighty One of Israel
  3. Our heavenly Father defines reality

Live in the Promises of Abba Avinu:

Like Mordecai and Hadassah we need to exercise faith in the promise of Abba Avinu that He will provide us His continual Help and Strength. Learn to live in the moment. Do not worry about your safety, security or material affluence. Messiah Yeshua has taught us:

הֲלֹוא צִוִּיתִיךָ חֲזַק וֶאֱמָץ אַֽל־תַּעֲרֹץ וְאַל־תֵּחָת כִּי עִמְּךָ ה’ אֱלֹהֶיךָ בְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר תֵּלֵֽךְ׃

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for Adonai your God is with you wherever you go.

Put your trust in the Mighty One of Israel:

Constantly focus, fix your eyes on the Al-Mighty One of Israel. His ability to help us cope with any special problems that might come our way is unlimited.

Yes, we are living in what the prophets of old called the latter days.

This means that not only Israel is facing the threat of annihilation today. The whole human race is being put at great risk. For the first time in human history the human race possesses the ability to cause its own extinction.

Fortunately, in spite of this ability to destroy ourselves, neither the nation of modern Israel or humankind as a whole will ever be allowed by the Creator to annihilate itself. Nor will the Creator ever allow the planet earth and its human inhabitants to be destroyed by a natural extinction event. How do we know this to be absolutely true?  Because the infallible Word of Adonai communicated to us by the prophets of Israel have told us that although the human race would one day in the future have the ability to destroy itself The Power (Hagevurah) of the Holy One would never allow this to happen.

Humankind will survive on planet earth until the day of the Great White throne judgment (that shall follow the Golden Messianic Age of Israel) because Adonai “always” speaks the truth. Therefore, trust in the Mighty One of Israel for:

All of Adonai’s promises will be fulfilled, for His Word can “never” be broken.

Our heavenly Father defines reality:

Our focus, our spiritual eyes and ears, must be completely fixed on our relational existence with our heavenly Father:

Only our heavenly Father defines reality and he alone defines who we are.

Reality is “being in harmony with the intellect, will, emotion, behavior and relational life of the heavenly Father.” Our Father in Heaven, Avinu Shebashamayim, dictates through His infallible Torah how we should live. Reality, temporal and eternal, is not defined by our circumstances. It is defined by Abba Avinu. Reality is not known or experienced merely by what society (imperfect humankind) says. Absolute reality is only known by those who know the God of the Beginning (Elohei Kedem). The Spirit of God alone conveys to us absolute truth.

מְעֹנָה אֱלֹהֵי קֶדֶם וּמִתַּחַת זְרֹעֹת עֹולָם

Elohei Kedem is a dwelling place (a refuge), and underneath are His everlasting arms.

In a practical way we obey the laws of the State but if those laws conflict with the will of the Father, we obey the heavenly Father. Not the creature (man). The blessed Presence of Abba Avinu alone is our eternal absolute reality.

Adonai is our permanent (eternal) dwelling place (refuge). The person who bases his or her existence solely on the temporal things of this earth is forfeiting the joy of one day enjoying the fantastic beauty and incredible goodness of Abba Avinu. The Psalmist David has rightly said:

תֹּֽודִיעֵנִי אֹרַח חַיִּים שֹׂבַע שְׂמָחֹות אֶת־פָּנֶיךָ נְעִמֹות בִּימִינְךָ נֶֽצַח׃

You will make known to me the Path of Life;
In Your Presence is Fullness of Joy;
In Your right hand there are Pleasures Forever.
