The Womb of Heaven was Barren:

וַתְּהִי שָׂרַי עֲקָרָה אֵין לָהּ וָלָֽד׃

 Sarai was barren; she had no child.

The Womb of Heaven was Barren: “Sarai was barren.” This unfortunate previous condition of the womb of Sarai (later renamed Sarah), who is the mother of us all, prophetically symbolizes what the spiritual circumstance of heaven, the Jerusalem above (יְרוּשָׁלַיִם שֶׁל מַעְלָה) used to be. Before the appearance of Messiah ben Yosef the womb of heaven was barren! 

Inception of the Evil Inclination: When Adam disobeyed God and ingested the fruit that included the knowledge of evil mixed in (hidden) within the fruit of the knowledge good this tragically resulted in the Adam’s death, the internal formation of the evil inclination, and heaven being left without any human occupants at all.

God made Creation Very Good: God is Good and He only creates good. God created the knowledge of good and yetzer hatov (יצר הטוב), the good inclination. He did not create the knowledge of evil or the evil inclination. The evil one (הרוע) created the knowledge of evil and yetzer hara (יצר הרע) the evil inclination. Not God. Why else do you think he is called the evil one and the wicked one (הרשע)? One, meaning “the first of his kind.” Believe it or not the successors of the Prushim rabbis and of the Tannaim sages teach according to their defective man-made traditions that God “created” the evil impulse. Nothing could be farther from the truth!

Adonai is the Source of all Truth: God’s eyes are too pure (טְהוֹר) to behold wickedness. He absolutely is not the author of evil. There is no deceit in our heavenly Father, only truth. It is impossible for the Holy One to lie (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).

The Evil One is the Source of all Lies: In great contrast to God the evil one is the spirit of lies. He is a liar all the time. He is the father of “the lie” (השקר) and all other “lies” (שקרים). The wicked one is the originator of all of our human experience of evil (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).

How Adonai is Our Savior: Throughout the Scriptures Adoanai explicitly identifies Himself as the only true Savior and source of deliverance. God declares in Isaiah 43:11

אָנֹכִ֥י אָנֹכִ֖י ה’ וְאֵ֥ין מִבַּלְעָדַ֖י מוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃

“I, even I, am Adonai (YHWH), and besides Me there is no savior.”

The Initiator of the Plan: Adonai is the architect of redemption. From the Exodus to the promises of the Brit HaChadashah, it is Adonai who acts to rescue His people from physical oppression and ultimately from the spiritual debt of sin.

The Meaning of the Name: When the angel Gabriel announced the birth of Messiah ben Yosef, he commanded that he be named Yeshua because “He will save His people from their sins.” Therefore, Adonai (YHWH) is our Savior by sending His Messiah ben Yosef ben David as the physical manifestation of His saving power.

בַּחֺדֶשׁ הַשִּׁשִּׁי נִשְׁלַח הַמַּלְאָךְ גַּבְרִיאֵל מֵאֵת הָאֱלֹהִים לְעִיר בַּגָּלִיל, אֲשֶׁר שְׁמָהּ נָצְרַת,אֶל בְּתוּלָה מְאֺרֶסֶת לְאִישׁ מִבֵּית דָּוִד וּשְׁמוֹ יוֹסֵף, וְשֵׁם הַבְּתוּלָה מִרְיָם. כַּאֲשֶׁר נִכְנַס לְחַדְרָהּ אָמַר הַמַּלְאָךְ, “שִׂמְחִי, בְּרוּכַת הַחֶסֶד. ה’ עִמָּךְ .” הִיא נִדְהֲמָה לְשֵׁמַע הַדָּבָר וְחָשְׁבָה בְּלִבָּהּ מָה טִּיבָהּ שֶׁל הַבְּרָכָה הַזֺּאת. אָמַר לָהּ הַמַּלְאָךְ, “אַל תִּפְחֲדִי, מִרְיָם, כִּי מָצָאת חֵן לִפְנֵי אֱלֹהִים. הִנֵּה תַּהֲרִי וְתֵלְדִי בֵּן, וְתִקְרְאִי שְׁמוֹ יֵשׁוּעַ. הוּא גָּדוֹל יִהְיֶה וּבֶן־עֶלְיוֹן יִקָּרֵא, ה’ אֱלֹהִים יִתֵּן לוֹ אֶת כִּסֵּא דָּוִד אָבִיו; וְיִמְלֹךְ עַל בֵּית יַעֲקֺב לְעוֹלָם וְאֵין קֵץ לְמַלְכוּתוֹ”. אָמְרָה מִרְיָם אֶל הַמַּלְאָךְ, “אֵיךְ יִהְיֶה הַדָּבָר הַזֶּה, הֲרֵי אֵינֶנִּי יוֹדַעַת אִישׁ”? הֵשִׁיב הַמַּלְאָךְ וְאָמַר: “רוּחַ הַקֺּדֶשׁ תָּבוֹא עָלַיִךְ וּגְבוּרַת עֶלְיוֹן תָּצֵל עָלַיִךְ. לָכֵן קָדוֹשׁ יִקָּרֵא הַיִּלּוֹד, בֶּן־אֱלֹהִים. וְהִנֵּה אֱלִישֶׁבַע קְרוֹבָתֵךְ גַּם הִיא הָרְתָה בֵּן בְּזִקְנָתָהּ, וְזֺאת שֶׁקָּרְאוּ לָהּ עֲקָרָה הָרָה זֶה הַחֺדֶשׁ הַשִּׁשִּׁי, כִּי לֹא יִפָּלֵא מֵאֱלֹהִים כָּל דָּבָר”. אָמְרָה מִרְיָם, “הִנְנִי שִׁפְחַת אֲדֺנָי, יְהִי לִי כִּדְבָרֶךָ.” וְהַמַּלְאָךְ הָלַךְ לוֹ. פ

“Call His Name Yeshua”:  “In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man of the house of David named Yosef; the virgin’s name was Miryam. Upon entering her room, the angel said, “Rejoice, you who are full of grace. Adonai is with you.” She was startled by these words and wondered in her heart what the nature of this greeting might be. The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Miryam, for you have found favor with God.” “You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you shall call his name Yeshua. He will be great and will be called the Ben-Elyon (Son of the Most High); Adonai Elohim will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and his kingdom will have no end.” Miryam said to the angel, “How will this be, since I do not know a man?” The angel answered and said, “The Spirit of the Holy One will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore, the child to be born will be called holy—Ben-Elohim (the Son of God).”

Messiah is the Manifestation of God’s Saving Power: The souls of the righteous remained in a holding area in Sheol, in a protected place called Abraham’s Bosom. After Messiah’s sacrifice for the atonement of sin and before his resurrection he descended into the lower regions of Sheol to instantly lead (exodus) those made righteous by faith in Adonai from Adam on out of Sheol and into the yet future Golden Age of Israel.

Yeshua as the Author of Our Faith: He is the author, originator and finisher of our faith in Adonai. Messiah ben Yosef is our chief leader, the one who goes first and the one who is first in rank. Yeshua opened the way to God by living a perfect life and paying the penalty for sin on the accursed tree.

The Example: The Messiah ben Yosef showed humanity what it means to live in total trust and obedience to Adonai

The Strong Finisher: Yeshua ben Yosef ben David is the one who brings God’s corporate salvation to complete maturity and perfect completion.

The removal of the knowledge of Evil and the Evil-Impulse:

Due to the fall of Adam the prophet Isaiah tells us the womb of heaven was made barren (cf. Isaiah 54:1):

רָנִּי עֲקָרָה לֹא יָלָדָה פִּצְחִי רִנָּה וְצַהֲלִי לֹא־חָלָה כִּֽי־רַבִּים בְּֽנֵי־שֹׁומֵמָה מִבְּנֵי בְעוּלָה אָמַר ה’׃

Shout for joy! For then He [Adonai] shall make the barren one [the womb of Zion, the Jerusalem above, heaven] bring (forth) “an abundance of sons to glory!” (בָּנִים רַבִּים לְכָבוֹד).

אמן אמן אני אומר לך, אם לא יולד אדם מלמעלה, לא יוכל לראות את מלכות האלהים.פ

Amen, amen, I say to you, unless one is born from above he cannot see the kingdom of God.

אמן אמן אני אומר לך, אם לא יולד איש מן המים והרוח לא יוכל להכנס למלכות האלהים.פ

Amen, amen, I say to you, unless one is born of water (amniotic fluid, natural physical process) and the Spirit (life above, life of heaven) he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Cleansed of our Sins: In his sacrificial death the Messiah ben Yosef made it possible for our people to be cleansed of our sins.

The Spirits of the Righteous made Perfect: In his resurrection our Messiah made it possible for our righteous dead to not only have the Spirit with them but permanently indwelling “in” them; thereby enabling the spirits of these righteous ones to be made perfect.

“Cheik Avraham“: Abraham’s Bosom (חֵיק אַבְרָהָם) refers to a place of comfort, peace, and reward in the afterlife that existed prior to the resurrection of the Messiah ben Yosef. The phrase refers to the bosom or lap of Abraham, the Father of our Faith, symbolizing a position of high honor, intimacy, and safety. After the Messiah descended into Sheol he took “captivity captive.” Abraham and all of the inhabitants were taken out of Sheol and  instantly time-traveled to the appointed place and time of their resurrection.

Transported through Time & Space: Once the righteous ones were perfected, who lived and died before Messiah’s death and resurrection: Immediately they were transported to the future time and place appointed for their resurrection and their service to God. For Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David and Daniel (etc.) all of these kedoshim, holy ones left the Bosom of Abraham and were instantly transported to Israel where they were (yet future) resurrected in new “immortal,” invincible, incorruptible glorified bodies.

All of the Holy Ones of old will be resurrected on Yom Kippur: All of the perfected righteous ones—Jew and Gentile—from Adam to Noah to Abraham to the time of our Messiah’s resurrection—all will be resurrected on Yom Kippur. This “mass” global resurrection will occur on Yom Kippur when the Messiah ben Yosef (Suffering Servant) returns to Israel as the Messiah ben David (Conquering King).

When Messiah took “Captivity Captive”: Prior to the time of Messiah’s atoning sacrifice even the righteous spirits of our fathers and prophets were temporarily held captive in Sheol (שְׁאוֹל). In Sheol the righteous ones dwelt in the Bosom of father Abraham until the day of their exodus out of Sheol. After Messiah atoned for sin he descended into Sheol and took “captivity captive.”

From Sheol into the very Presence of Adonai: Even as they were being transported to the time of the resurrection, Messiah took all of the believing Jews and Gentiles who died in faith prior to his resurrection out of Sheol and brought them into the very Presence of Adonai Elohim (cf. Psalm 68):

עָלִיתָ לַמָּרֹום שָׁבִיתָ שֶּׁבִי לָקַחְתָּ מַתָּנֹות בָּאָדָם וְאַף סֹורְרִים לִשְׁכֹּן ה’ אֱלֹהִֽים׃ בָּרוּךְ אֲדֹנָי יֹום יֹום יַֽעֲמָס־לָנוּ הָאֵל יְֽשׁוּעָתֵנוּ סֶֽלָה׃ הָאֵל לָנוּ אֵל לְֽמֹושָׁעֹות וְלֵ ה’ אֲדֹנָי לַמָּוֶת תֹּוצָאֹֽות׃

“You have ascended on high, You have led captive Your captives; you have received gifts among men, even among the rebellious also, that Adonai Elohim may dwell there. Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, the Almighty who is our Salvation (Yeshua-teinu). Selah. The Almighty is to us a Mighty One of deliverances (HaPalat); and to Adonai (ה’) Adonai (אֲדֹנָי) belong escapes from death.”

The Great Escape from Death: Now  this prophetic expression, “He is our Yeshua” what does it mean? (סֶֽלָה-selah) Pause and really think about this passage. Ask yourself, “What does this prophecy mean?” It means Yeshuateinu (יְֽשׁוּעָתֵנוּ), Yeshua (יֵשׁוּעַ) our Messiah is prophetically in view here. It means that in this passage we can see that through our faith in the Messiah of Adonai we are actually able to escape from death (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).

Death can no longer Maintain its Hold on Us! Through Messiah’s redemptive victory death no longer can maintain its hold over us. 

Heaven is no longer Barren! After taking captivity captive our Messiah triumphantly ascended far above all the heavens, so that He might fill all things. In this way, he became the First born of the dead (Habekhor hakam min-hametim). Therefore, Heaven is no longer barren and soon on the resurrection days of Rosh HaShanah (Assembly of Messiah) and Yom Kippur (all others). There will be many sons (and daughters) of glory.

From Natural-Mortal to Spiritual-Immortal: For in our Messiah’s resurrection from the dead and ascent to the highest of the heavens He has made a way for the spirits of our righteous dead to be resurrected from mortality into immortality; from corruption into no corruption; from the natural to the spiritual (1, 2, 3, 4).

What do we learn from our Scriptures? Therefore, what do we learn from this examination of our Hebrew scriptures? We learn that due to the redemptive ministry of the Holy One those righteous ones who (in former times) were held captive in the Paradise of Sheol (חֵיק אַבְרָהָם-Abraham’s Bosom) have now been released to be resurrected in the near future (in glorified bodies) at the beginning of the messianic kingdom. Believe this:

Nothing is Impossible for God! When the righteous die they no longer go to Sheol, they immediately go to the appointed time and place of their resurrection. This instantaneous movement of our spirits and souls from this time and place to new immortal resurrected bodies in another time and place is not a difficult task for the Creator.

Time is no barrier to the Creator:

Crossing the Space-Time Barrier: Theses righteous ones who had lost their mortal physical forms at death were instantly transported into their new immortal bodies in the time of the return of Messiah to Israel—Yom Kippur. Therefore, Adonai enabled these persons to time-travel to the appointed time and place of their resurrection, on the day of some unknown (yet future) observance of Yom Kippur. Regarding this crossing of the space-time barrier, read the far-reaching, multiple-fulfilling prophecy of Joshua 3:16; 4:22-24:

וַיַּעַמְדוּ הַמַּיִם הַיֹּרְדִים מִלְמַעְלָה קָמוּ נֵד־אֶחָד הַרְחֵק מְאֹד באדם הָעִיר אֲשֶׁר מִצַּד צָֽרְתָן וְהַיֹּרְדִים עַל יָם הָעֲרָבָה יָם־הַמֶּלַח תַּמּוּ נִכְרָתוּ וְהָעָם עָבְרוּ נֶגֶד יְרִיחֹֽו׃

The waters flowing down from above stood still and rose up in a single heap very far away—near the city of Adam, which is beside Zarethan—while the waters flowing down toward the Sea of ​​the Arabah (the Salt Sea) were completely cut off; and the people crossed over opposite Jericho.

So the People “Crossed-over”: The waters which were flowing (lit. going) down from above stood and rose up in one heap, a great distance away at *Adam, the city that is beside Zarethan (צרתן-the Trouble); and those which were flowing (going) down toward the sea of the Arabah (עֲרָבָה-wilderness), the Salt Sea, were completely cut off. So the people crossed opposite Jericho (יְרֵחוֹ-the moon, the light that rules מֶמְשָׁלָה -the night).

*Death Originated “In Adam”: Meta-message, a message within the message–The waters [of death] flowed down from the origination point where Trouble began: “In Adam” (באדם). In Hebrew, Zarethan (צרתן) translates to “their distress”, “tribulation,” or “perplexity.” The Root (Tzarar/Tzar): The name is built on the Hebrew root tsarar (צָרַר), which means “to bind up,” “to press together,” or “to persecute”. Its noun form, tzar (צר) or tzarah (צרָה), literally means trouble, adversity, distress, or a narrow, suffocating space.

“A Place of Distress and Trouble”: The ending of the word (-an) is a common ancient Hebrew grammatical feature used to turn a root into a specific “place of” designation. Therefore, Zaretan literally means a “Place of Trouble” or “Place of Distress.”

וְהֹודַעְתֶּם אֶת־בְּנֵיכֶם לֵאמֹר בַּיַּבָּשָׁה עָבַר יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּן הַזֶּֽה׃ אֲשֶׁר־הֹובִישׁ ה’ אֱלֹהֵיכֶם אֶת־מֵי הַיַּרְדֵּן מִפְּנֵיכֶם עַֽד־עָבְרְכֶם כַּאֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה ה’ אֱלֹהֵיכֶם לְיַם־סוּף אֲשֶׁר־הֹובִישׁ מִפָּנֵינוּ עַד־עָבְרֵֽנוּ׃ לְמַעַן דַּעַת כָּל־עַמֵּי הָאָרֶץ אֶת־יַד ה’ כִּי חֲזָקָה הִיא לְמַעַן יְרָאתֶם אֶת־ה’ אֱלֹהֵיכֶם כָּל־הַיָּמִֽים׃

That you may Stand in Awe of Adonai Forever: And you shall inform your children, saying, “Israel crossed this Jordan on dry land”—for the Adonai your God dried up the waters of the Jordan before you until you had crossed over [delivered from death to life], just as Adonai your God did to the Red Sea, which He dried up before us until we had crossed over—so that all the peoples of the earth might know the hand of Adonai, that it is mighty, and so that you might fear Adonai your God all the days.

Time Travel:

The Time Travelers: For the ancient holy ones (kedoshim) who lived about two millennia ago or more before the time of Messiah’s death and resurrection, their spirits have already  instantly (בן רגע וכהרף עין) time-traveled from where they once were (in the Bosom of Abraham) into the actual restored land of Israel–the messianic kingdom; the golden age of Israel–where they have been resurrected into glorified bodies.

“Bringing in (the) Guests”: In that future day—where Israel’s resurrected saints (in time paradox) have already traveled into the blessed age of the messianic era before those living now have—our righteous ancestors will enjoy their new role of functioning as glorified servants to their mortal Jewish descendants and as welcoming hosts to the God fearing gentiles who will regularly be visiting the Holy Land.

Hachnasat Orchim: Translates to “bringing in guests” (הַכְנָסַת אוֹרְחִים) and represents the God-given core value and mitzvah (commandment) of Hospitality.

A very grand Eretz Israel Tourist Industry: As a result of these prophecies (1, 2, 3) we know the future tourism industry in Eretz Israel during the messianic era will exist on a very grand and global scale (cf. “Messiah in Sukkot“).

Immortal Servant-Shepherd-Leaders: The wonderful reward of our righteous ancestors (fathers, prophets, etc.) will be that they will serve our Messiah in the Golden Age of Israel as resurrected, glorified, holy ones who will supremely enjoy living as servant-shepherd-leaders (הַגָּדוֹל בָּכֶם יִהְיֶה מְשָׁרֶתְכֶם) during the millennial age; the promised one thousand year international reign of the Kingdom of Adonai over all of the nations, peoples, and families of the earth.

The Exact Time of the holy ones’ arrival in Israel is unknown:

The Reign of Messiah ben David begins: The imminent, soon-coming reign of the Messiah will begin at a (presently) yet unknown future observance of Yom Kippur. We believe the arrival of these resurrected saints must occur on the Day of Atonement.

The Festival of Jubilee: This momentous event will happen on a future Yom Kippurim day that has already been designated in the heavenly Father’s calendar as a Festival of Jubilee (Yovel); the ultimate liberation year celebrated at the end of seven cycles of shmita (שמיטה) sabbatical years.

Messiah will return on a Jubilee Year: This future sacred day is when the glorified appearance of our resurrected Messiah will occur. He will miraculously appear simultaneously to all the nations and peoples of the world. Messiah’s second coming will happen on the day of Yom Kippur and Jubilee. Then all Israel will be restored to the fulfillment of all the Promises of Adonai Avinu.

Space-Time paradoxes:

The Great Exodus: Evidence of the the exodus of the living and the dead being led into the kingdom of Adonai by the Great Moses to come, the Coming One (Hu Haba’), does exist in the writings of the Brit Chadashah account of the resurrection of Ha-Mashiach. In the first Besorah of Messiah, in the Besorah of “Given of Adonai” (lit. meaning of the name Mattai, Matthew).

Kedoshim appeared bearing witness to Messiah’s Resurrection: At the time of the Resurrection of the Messiah ben Yosef a small number of resurrected-glorified kedoshim (holy ones), who were participants in Messiah’s exodus from the Bosom of Abraham, did appear in a glorified resurrected form to many of the citizens of Jerusalem.

They were Immortals: These resurrected holy ones were glorified and therefore they were immortals. The glorious appearance of these select resurrected holy ones was very brief for these special malakim (messengers) needed only to bear witness to Messiah’s redemption and resurrection power: then they instantly were sent into the future  (time-travelers) to arrive in Israel on the day of Messiah ben David’s return; the day of the resurrection of the saints of old; and the day of Yom Kippur and Jubilee. Regarding this event it is written

וְיֵשׁוּעַ הוֹסִיף לִקְרֹא בְּקוֹל גָּדוֹל וַתֵּצֵא רוּחוֹ׃ וְהִנֵּה נִקְרְעָה פָּרֹכֶת הַהֵיכָל מִלְמַעְלָה לְמַטָּה לִשְׁנַיִם קְרָעִים וַתִּרְעַשׁ הָאָרֶץ וְהַסְּלָעִים הִתְבַּקָּעוּ׃ וְהַקְּבָרִים נִפְתָּחוּ וְרַבִּים מִן־הַקְּדוֹשִׁים יְשֵׁנֵי אַדְמַת עָפָר נֵעוֹרוּ׃ וַיֵּצְאוּ מִן־הַקְּבָרִים אַחֲרֵי תְחִיָּתוֹ וַיָּבֹאוּ אֶל־הָעִיר הַקְּדוֹשָׁה וַיֵּרָאוּ לָרַבִּים׃

Who Appeared to “Many” in Jerusalem:  “And Yeshua cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His Spirit. And behold, the Veil of the Temple was torn in two from Top to Bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, and the graves were  opened; and many bodies of the holy ones who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves after his resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.”
