Messiah in Purim Chapter 18
- Live in the Promises of God our Father
- Put your trust in the Mighty One of Israel
- Our heavenly Father defines reality
Live in the Promises of God our Father:
Like Mordecai and Hadassah we need to exercise faith in the promise of Abba Avinu that He will provide us His continual help and strength. Learn to live in the moment. Do not worry about your safety, security or material affluence. Messiah Yeshua has taught us:
הֲלֹוא צִוִּיתִיךָ חֲזַק וֶאֱמָץ אַֽל־תַּעֲרֹץ וְאַל־תֵּחָת כִּי עִמְּךָ ה’ אֱלֹהֶיךָ בְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר תֵּלֵֽךְ׃
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for Adonai your God is with you wherever you go.
Put your trust in the Mighty One of Israel:
Constantly focus, fix your eyes on the God of Israel. His ability to help us cope with any special problems that might come our way is unlimited.
Yes, we are living in what the prophets of old called the latter days.
This means that not only Israel is facing the threat of annihilation today. The whole human race is being put at great risk. For the first time in human history the human race possesses the ability to cause its own extinction.
Fortunately, the Creator will never allow us to annihilate ousrselves. Nor will the He allow the planet earth and its inhabitants to be destroyed by a natural extinction event. How do we know this to be absolutely true? Because the infallible Word of God has already informed us that although the human race does have the power to destroy itself God will never allow this to happen. This is true for it is an absolute fact:
All of God’s promises will be fulfilled, for His Word can “never” be broken.
Our heavenly Father defines reality:
Our focus must be completely fixed on our relationship with our heavenly Father:
Only our heavenly Father defines reality and he alone defines who we are.
Reality, temporal and eternal, is not defined by our circumstances. It is defined by Abba Avinu. Reality is not known or experienced merely by what society and modern science says. Absolute reality is only experienced (known) by those who know the God of Eternity (Elohei Kedem). The Spirit of God alone conveys to us His absolute truth.
מְעֹנָה אֱלֹהֵי קֶדֶם וּמִתַּחַת זְרֹעֹת עֹולָם
Elohei Kedem is a dwelling place (a refuge), and underneath are His everlasting arms.
In a practical way we obey the laws of the State but if those laws conflict with the will of the Father, we obey the heavenly Father. God is our permanent (eternal) dwelling place (refuge). The person who bases his or her existence solely on the temporal things of this earth is forfeiting the joy of one day experiencing the fantastic beauty and incredible goodness of God our Father. The Psalmist David has rightly said:
תֹּֽודִיעֵנִי אֹרַח חַיִּים שֹׂבַע שְׂמָחֹות אֶת־פָּנֶיךָ נְעִמֹות בִּימִינְךָ נֶֽצַח׃
You will make known to me the path of life;
In Your Presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.
