Messiah in Yom HaBikkurim Chapter 94 Part 10
- Part 10: The little meal of the little lad is greatly multiplied
- He lifted his eyes toward heaven and made a brachah
- He broke and gave the bread to his talmidin
- The talmidin gave the bread to the people
- He divided the two fish for them all
- All of them ate and were satisfied
The little meal of the little lad is greatly multiplied:
After these things Yeshua went away to the other side of the Sea of Galilee (or Tiberias). A large crowd followed Him, because they saw the signs (attesting miracle) which He was performing on those who were sick. Then Yeshua went up on the mountain, and there He sat down with His disciples. Now Pesach (the Passover), the feast of the Yehudim (Jews), was near. Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii (The denarius was equivalent to a day’s wages) worth of bread is not sufficient for them, for everyone to receive a little.” One of His disciples, Andrew, Shimon Peter’s brother, said to Him, “There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are these for so many people?” Yeshua said, “Have the people sit down” (literally recline).” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. Yeshua then took the loaves, and having given thanks, He distributed to those who were seated; likewise also of the fish as much as they wanted.
